Why Can't I see my Mobile Registry VIs in the User Libraries Palette?

VIs placed in the user.lib directory appear automatically in the User Libraries palette of LabVIEW. A number of factors could cause this:

  • The User Libraries are not synchronized with the directory
To enable this synchronization, from the LabVIEW "Tools" menu select "Advanced" -> "Edit Palette Set". Right click on "User Libraries" and select "Synchronize with directory.
If you palette still does not appear, you can manually add it  by right clicking on "User Libraries" and selecting "Insert" -> "Subpalette" then select the "Link to an existing palette file" radio button, and navigate to the "pda_registry" directory in user.lib and select the dir.mnu file.
  • The dir.mnu file is missing

We've provided this file as part of the installation, however if it has been deleted, moved, or otherwise changed, you should probably replace it from the original installation, or reinstall the product.
